COMFORTEX WELCOMES NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF FABRICATION OPERATIONS

MAPLEWOOD, NY - Comfortex Window Fashions, a leading innovative manufacturer and fabricator of custom window treatment products for global distribution, welcomes Ralph A. Coon, Jr. as Vice President of Fabrication Operations. He will oversee the three Comfortex fabrication plants located in Maplewood, New York, Melbourne, Florida and Phoenix, Arizona.

Ralph comes to Comfortex with a background in production management. He received his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University. He began his career at General Electric where he worked as a manufacturing engineer for a number of divisions in Ohio and Massachusetts from 1992 to 1997. While at GE, Ralph was selected to participate in the Manufacturing Management Program, an executive development program for manufacturing managers.

Upon leaving GE, Ralph worked as the Business Unit Manager for Warrick Controls in Detroit, Michigan and at Vapor Corporation of Chicago, Illinois before accepting his most recent position as Director of Operations for Advanced Motors and Drives in Syracuse, New York. He holds two certifications in quality control and lean manufacturing: Six Sigma Quality Techniques and International Standards Organization (ISO).

Ralph currently resides in Canasota, New York but is relocating to the Capital Region.
