Roanoke Rapids, NC - Carolina Crossroads, the new entertainment and retail destination off Interstate 95 in Roanoke Rapids, has announced that tickets are selling at record pace for the September 23 outdoor concert featuring Hank Williams, Jr., Gretchen Wilson, and Canadian group the Road Hammers.

“This concert has been gaining momentum since we first announced these artists,” said Michael Dunlow, president of Carolina Crossroads.

The outdoor concert is the third in a series of “Randy Parton & Carolina Crossroads Presents” concerts. Attendance at the first Carolina Crossroads event exceeded 24,000. The second, a Christian concert featuring artists Steven Curtis Chapman and Third Day attracted 10,000.

“We’re expecting a sellout crowd,” said Elizabeth Branham, Carolina Crossroads Events Director. “The Road Hammers was recently named group of the year by the Canadian Country Music Association. They have a huge Canadian following,” Branham added.

Concert tickets are still available from www.ticketmaster.com.

“The future of Carolina Crossroads as a premier music and entertainment district has been evident by the attendance at these outdoor concerts,” said Randy Parton, managing member of Moonlight Bandit Productions, LLC.

The September 23 concert will also feature an alcohol free “Family Zone,” amusements, a rock climbing wall and other family fun activities. In addition, dozens of vendors will be offering everything from pizza, to party hats, to North Carolina’s world famous barbeque.
