Los Angeles, CA - Author, Keith White, donated 62 cases of his novel, The Portal, to 4th Infantry troops in Iraq. Not only did he ship the books at his own expense but he also sent a copy to Commander-in-chief, George W. Bush.

White has sent care packages to troops in the past. However, White’s concern was peaked when he learned his bookkeeper has family members assigned in Iraq, who along with thousands of others have so little to keep them occupied during their free time. White stated, "I appreciate what those guys over in Iraq are doing and I hope that this will give them something to do in their downtime."

The Portal is a novel about a hero, a nasty Nazi and an OSS newbie’s lives converging as a captivating thrill ride begins from the Amazon jungle in the 1940s back to modern day, 2006. The intricate plot is packed with intriguing twists and turns including a trip back to the future triggered by a mysterious Idol.

In fact, the novel is a theatrical release motion picture in development by independent motion picture production company, Del Mar Entertainment Group. “I know that it’ll be an incredibly good movie. When I wrote the book, I saw it in my head as a movie,” says altruistic White. “Many people that have read my book have asked me if it will be adapted into a movie. Now I can proudly confirm that it will be.”

About The Portal:
Fasten your seatbelt, because from the moment the story takes off, it’s a thrill-a-minute ride through the Amazon wilderness, a World War II adventure, and a quick trip to the future … well, for us, the present.

Love the characters or love to hate them, cheer the good guys and boo the bad. Limber up your fingers or you won’t be able to turn the pages fast enough to keep up.

Jack Sullivan, an all-around good guy, is tossed out of the Army Air Corps boot camp because of a long-past episode with asthma. Just when he thought things couldn’t get much worse, he’s forced to flee the country when he’s framed for the murder of an ex-girlfriend’s husband because the conniving cutie and Jack are caught together, well, naked.
