The Business Comes Naturally campaign, created by Yorkshire Forward, will communicate the region’s strength as a centre of commercial innovation to business leaders, advisers and investors across the UK and internationally.

The campaign features striking images of nature to highlight major business innovation stories from across the region, including case studies on Boeing, Team 17 and ITM Power Plc.

The launch of the campaign follows research, which reveals that 70 per cent of people across the UK believe that Yorkshire and Humber is a good place to do business.

But the research, carried out by specialists MORI on behalf of Yorkshire Forward and conducted with more than 2,000 business leaders, opinion formers and members of the public, also showed that perceptions and attitudes towards Yorkshire are much stronger within the region than outside it.

Almost eight out of every ten businesses in the region said Yorkshire and Humber offered attractive investment opportunities, but the figure drops to 43 per cent for businesses based elsewhere in the UK.

The campaign will demonstrate to key investment decision-makers – including venture capitalists, property consultants, financial advisers, chief executives and finance directors – the advantages of investing in Yorkshire and Humber.

Theresa Lindsay, head of marketing and communications at Yorkshire Forward, said:
“Today, it is not only businesses that have to compete in a global marketplace, it is places too. As more and more regions, nationally and internationally, compete for the same jobs and investment; it’s vital that Yorkshire and Humber is identified for what it is – a place of enterprise and innovation that offers a quality of work and life that is second to none.

“Our region has a strong environmental heritage and the Business Comes Naturally campaign builds on this positive association to highlight our business strengths”.
