Vipera announces that more than 50,000 users worldwide have signed up for Vipera-powered mobile solutions during the past three months, and are now using the GPRS and UMTS services of 200+ operators worldwide to access them from their mobile phones over Vipera's hosted application-to-application communication service.

Vipera is the Mobile Applications Network Operator (MANO) offering messaging, application provisioning, billing and mobile data security services that are fully independent of carriers, network technology, device manufacturer. Existing mobile operators are used as plain "data bearers" by Vipera.

Developers and system integrators can subscribe to Vipera services and use Vipera mobile Java (J2ME) SDK to deploy enterprise and consumer value added solutions such as picture messaging and secure m-commerce transactions on top.

Deployed Vipera applications include:

- mobile banking (Vipera MoBanking solution)
- free picture messaging (Vipera Shoot&Send solution)
- mobile blogging (Vipera MoBlog solution)
