Webcam Spreads Gospel & Opens Minds

A site that was established in the year 2000 is now offering an interesting approach to spreading the gospel. A site called http://www.theChristiandepot.com is using a $100 webcam to spread the gospel. Every morning, Raffi Sosikian who holds an MBA and a passion for computer technology, wakes up, reads his bible, and discusses it via a webcam that records his lesson of the day, while at the same time speaking into a microphone that is typing out his sermon which will then be uploaded to his website.

Raffi Sosikian was quoted as saying, “As a Christian that has been studying the Word of God for over a decade, I felt like I was getting used to the Word, and I no longer had to read it everyday. After a few months of not reading the Word of God, I regretted my decision and decided to read it everyday once again, as I was not grounding my day in the Word, but rather I was getting trapped in my busy world instead. To force myself to read the bible everyday, I decided to record myself and actually explain the verses I am reading so that others may be blessed by the word of God as well. Plus if I were to state on my site that I will be here every morning discussing the bible, minus days where I have no access to my webcam of course, this will force me to keep my word and be there for people every morning. I then realized not every computer has a speaker, so not everyone would be able to hear me. So I needed to put up my teaching in a text format for those people to be blessed by the Word as well. Since my schedule is quite hectic, I decided to go out and purchase a piece of software that will allow me to speak while it types out what I am saying. Now people can hear and read my teaching and hopefully be blessed by it.”

TheChristiandepot.com is aiming to reach people and help them experience the love and peace of Jesus.
