Environmentally Friendly Products Gain Net Popularity

(PRLEAP.COM) With ever increasing attention on environmental issues and the health and welfare of the planet, the demand for environmentally friendly products is greater than ever. But retailers aren’t always quick to respond – making many “green” products hard to find. In response, many new online sites have sprung up to meet the demand for products that will help, and not hurt the planet.

Whether it’s packaging that’s biodegradable, saves water, waves energy, doesn’t affect the atmosphere, or any number of other ways a product can be more environmentally friendly, there are few brick and mortar retail outlets which your can find everything you’re looking for. This means the inevitable city-wide search for such products, going from store to store to find the items that we are looking for.

Research indicates that, all things being equal, most consumers will purchase products which are environmentally friendly over those that are not. Interestingly, this cuts across all demographics. No matter the age, sex, nationality, or background, most are inclined to go environmental. This is true even when there is a slight cost difference for the green product.

Despite this fact, many retailers are slow to push such products despite the obvious demand, and thus a situation is created whereby retailers claim it doesn’t pay to stock environmentally friendly products because they don’t move, and products don’t move because consumers can’t find them.

Fortunately, for the consumer, the Internet provides a way for the environmentally conscious to step around the foot-dragging by retailers.

Just type in a search term like “environmentally friendly products” into any of the search engines, and a whole slew of sites will pop up ready to meet any environmental need. Virtually every kind of product with a serious hazardous side effect has an environmentally friendly counterpart readily available online.

“We decided to get into this industry because we recognized the growing demand for environmentally friendly products,” says Pamela Weissman of Forum Technologies (www.energyproducts.myfti.biz) – an online company specializing in energy saving and environmentally friendly products. “All of our products are either good for the environment or save energy. We think online stores like ours are the wave of the future because the public is tired of waiting for retail stores to get the message that consumers want products that aren’t going to harm the planet.”

Forum Technologies, like most online outlets nowadays, provide extremely fast service and stand behind all of the products they sell.

With more and more consumers turning to the Net to find environmentally friendly products, the pressure will inevitably build for retailers large and small to follow suit. The solutions for a healthier, more livable planet are out there, and those of us who want to see a change can find the products they need without the retail runaround.
