CHICAGO, — Sick of those ever-present buzzwords that seem to obscure rather than clarify what's being said? Readers can now vent their frustration with the constant stream of pretentious talking heads by submitting the words that drive them crazy to a contest to find the most ridiculous buzzwords in the workplace, media and pop culture.

John Walston, author of The Buzzword Dictionary: 1,000 Phrases Translated from Pompous to English (Marion Street Press, September 2006) is celebrating the release of his new book with a "Buzzword of the Day" contest on his Web site, http://www.buzzwhack.com

Running through Sunday, November 1, readers can visit the site and submit their favorite or most despised buzzword. Each day Walston will select a winner, who will receive a free copy of The Buzzword Dictionary. Seven readers have already won copies.

Readers are encouraged to submit as many buzzwords as they like each day. At the conclusion of the contest, we are also happy to provide a list of the most popular submissions.

To request a review copy of The Buzzword Dictionary or to arrange an interview with the author, contact Michelle Niebur, (312) 337-0747 or mniebur@ipgbook.com.
