MV Transportation, Inc. Executive Addresses CalAct on Improving Transit Operations using Innovative IT Solutions
(PRLEAP.COM) Marsha Madrid, MV Transportation’s Executive Vice President of Research and Development, will discuss the importance of using innovative information technology to improve transit operations during the California Association of Coordinated Transportation’s (CalAct) Autumn Conference this week in Burbank.
Ms. Madrid, who leads MV’s R&D efforts and is responsible for exploring and creating new technologies to improve MV’s operations in 26 states and the District of Columbia, is considered a leading expert in transit software development, programming and implementation. She has spent the last 18 years working directly in transportation software management and development.
As a founder and principal owner of Online Data Products, Marsha implemented PASS in over 150 transportation properties during the first six years of its existence, and developed and implemented ancillary products for MDC’s to communicate schedules and real-time changes from PASS directly to vehicles electronically.
In 1995, Online Data Products was sold to Trapeze Software Group, Inc. Prior to joining MV in 2003, Marsha served as President and as a Senior Consultant for the Trapeze Software Group for 8 years.
Ms. Madrid is one of several “transit experts” employed by MV Transportation who is available to address and suggest solutions to the many issues facing transit agencies and officials. MV employs a host of transit professionals who are well versed in topics ranging from the benefits of competitive contracting to transit marketing solutions to increase ridership.
