UbiEst and DWI announce partnership agreement to develop a geo-normalization services platform

29 september 2006 - UbiEst SpA, leading Italian company for online mapping and geocoding services and DWI SpA, primary address management solution provider, have teamed up to launch the first complete software solution platform for database normalization and geocoding. UbiEst know how in digital cartography services and geo-informative systems and DWI twenty-year experience in consulting and development of informative systems and database formatting, will join for the development and commercialization of GeoNorm, a full-featured geo-normalization platform for the European market.

GeoNorm will provide tools and services to meet enterprises’ needs for structuring, formatting, and integrate business informative patrimony through the use of proprietary algorithms, taking advantage of UbiEst and DWI specific know how in the field. Main functionalities of the platform will be the addresses normalization procedures, addresses database structuring formatting and enriching in order to make data treatable in destination applications, and the geoocoding services, automatic conversion of information into couples of geographic coordinates to perform geographic-based queries like extraction proximity lists of addresses, geomarketing analysis, direct marketing initiatives, etc.

GeoNorm will provide automatic georeferencing procedures with highest levels of matching on Navteq world-wide leader cartographic database. Normalization and geocoding features will be available both for local or ASP mode. Platform’s web services can be outsourced from external enterprise applications using standard interface.
On line procedures will be available for batch processes (mass data formatting) or real time, ie. in data entry web interface. Thanks to the partnership agreement, UbiEst SpA and DWI have created a collaboration of competences, resources and technologies capable to answer to requirements of a market that more and more recognizes the strategic relevance of data quality in the functions of Marketing, Sales, CRM and Communication.
