Woodstock, IL — Waterfowler.com, LLC., the online authority in waterfowl migration tracking and reporting, has joined forces with Knock ‘m Down Productions, the award-winning video production company, to develop the most advanced multi-media entertainment in the outdoor industry; Waterfowler.com Journal Video Magazine.

The video-magazine will include all the regular features of their previous print publication, plus featured hunts, interviews, video slide shows and new product demonstrations. In addition, the DVD extras will include hard-core hunting desktop patterns, sponsor links, and member submitted video-snippets.

“We’re extremely excited about the change,” said Waterfowler.com’s president and publisher, Darin Sakas. “Waterfowler.com has always succeeded by being on the leading-edge of marketing and media technology. The upgrade to video allows us to do all the things we couldn’t do in print, and expands our creative boundaries exponentially.”

Waterfowler.com Journal video magazine is a joint-venture project. The strategic alliance between two of the most creative forces in the outdoor entertainment industry is a bold leap for publishing, but both companies are ready to tackle the challenge.

“When two companies who are huge fans of each other’s work put their heads together, great things can happen,” stated Paul Sawyer from Knock ‘m Down Productions, LLC. “Until now, many smaller manufacturers just couldn’t afford to advertise on television. Now, they get the benefit of live action video at print advertising prices – with a guaranteed circulation.”

The transition to a video-based publication has been a tactical ‘100-yard dash’ for both companies. Considering the seasonality of the annual waterfowl hunting-season, collection and conversion of magazine content and advertisers materials has been a juggling act. “I’ve been busy,” chuckled Bradley Ramsey, Waterfowler.com’s Editor. “Thankfully my writing experience included an extensive background in script writing and previous television production. This new partnership is opening all kinds of doors for new ideas. In addition to the video magazine, we’re already working on a new video-library series of instructional discs for duck and goose hunters.”

Waterfowler.com has provided real-time waterfowl migration tracking, GIS-mapping and reports to over 100,000 duck and goose hunters since 1997. Beginning in October, the migration updates will also be available in POD-CAST format throughout the migratory waterfowl hunting-season.
