Equipment Manufacturer EION Wireless Joins WiMAX Forum

OTTAWA, Canada – October 02, 2006; EION Wireless, providers of intelligent broadband wireless backhaul and access solutions, today announced it has joined the WiMAX Forum as a Principal Member.

In April 2006, EION Wireless acquired several product lines, including the Libra MX from WiMAX pioneer Wi-LAN Inc. As part of the acquisition EION acquired expert staff and the product business unit from Wi-LAN. As a founding member of the WiMAX Forum, Wi-LAN has played a critical role in the development of the standard by leading the technical working group of WiMAX forum and IEEE 802.16 Task Group d.

EION will be exhibiting the future of the Libra MX product family at WiMAX World USA, October 11-12, 2006, at the Boston World Trade Center, Boston Mass.,— Booth #503.
