The Charlotte Shout eavesdrops on The Silent Chef

More than 45 national and local celebrity chefs performed live cooking demos on culinary stages with support from Compass Group chefs and Johnson & Wales culinary Students.
Celebrity Chefs included; Sara Foster, Scott Irestone, Sara Moulton, Wolfgang Puck, Marcus Samuelsson, Billy Strynkowski, Ming Tsai, Martin Yan and Anthony Bourdain.
Chef Adam Idris, featured in Anthony Bourdain’s Kitchen Confidential is Silent Chef’s Corporate Chef. Chef Adam a Demi Glace expert stressed, “Prepared Demi saves kitchen time, reduces labor, saves on utilities, reduces the heat load of a kitchen and provides a consistent, market neutral product. He added, “We make the Demi – you (the chef) make the sauce”.
