NETASQ Announces Management Moves to Drive FY07 Growth Strategy in Europe

NETASQ, the leading European provider of comprehensive, proactive unified security solutions, today announced two strategic management moves intended to facilitate the company’s growth strategy for Northern Europe.

“We continue to make considerable strides in optimizing our worldwide reseller organization, but particularly in Europe,” said NETASQ’s executive vice president, Dominique Meurisse. “Now we are positioned to leverage our achievements and pursue our plans for growth in FY07.”

Changes to NETASQ’s Northern Europe management structure include the following appointments:

• Rolf van Gent becomes country manager for Benelux and Nordics.
• Nilesh Patel becomes country manager for the UK and Ireland.
• The pre-sales organization has expanded to reinforce the growth, particularly in northern Europe.

“The additions of Rolf and Nilesh to our country management structure will play an essential role in the execution of our strategy and our resolve to position NETASQ as the partner of preference to simplify and unify network security for European businesses, regardless of the company or network size,” continued Meurisse.

Van Gent joins NETASQ with almost 20 years of IT Industry experience and more than 10 years of various international sales and general management positions for Dutch, U.S. and French software companies. “I joined NETASQ for the tremendous growth potential I see in my territory,” said van Gent. “The people I met have an incredible team spirit and are all motivated by a common goal to be THE European security provider. My team’s initial focus will be on supporting and streamlining existing Benelux channels to help them grow into larger opportunities. We will also start to create new channels in the Nordics during 2007.”

Nilesh Patel
Patel joins NETASQ after 11 years at Adaptec where he held various sales, marketing and management positions during his tenure, including most recently the position of Sales and Marketing Director for Northern Europe. He has also held two-tier management positions at Future Domain Corporation and Pioneer Electronics. “I joined NETASQ for the passion shared by its people related to the products and a common desire to be recognized as the best possible partner in the security industry,” said Patel. “My primary goal going forward is to identify key new partners, continue building and supporting a strong channel, and grow their revenues.”
