Syncxo: mobile Outlook data without Microsoft Exchange

Syncxo provides users mobile email and over-the-air access and synchronisation of their email, agenda, contacts and tasks from their PC or laptop, with their mobile telephone, Smartphone or PDA. Syncxo supports mobile devices from all major brands using the OMA standards. XOffice’s target markets for Syncxo are consumers, Soho’s and SMEs. Syncxo Services are delivered as “Software on Demand”. This means that users need not invest in software, hardware, maintenance or IT Administration. XOffice maintains and administers the software and service for the client. To use the services, users can subscribe with XOffice.

How does it work?
Via the Syncxo Outlook Connector that runs on the users’ computer Syncxo synchronises Microsoft Outlook® data with the Syncxo Servers. Synchronisation uses the available internet, WiFi or UMTS networks.
Then Syncxo will wirelessly synchronise the data with mobile devices of the user. The synchronisation of data to mobiles uses GPRS, UMTS of WiFi network connections. In order to use this service, the user needs a mobile data subscription with their provider. Syncxo is provider independent.

Syncxo works bi-directional. Information that is added or edited on their mobile can be automatically synchronised with their computer and visa versa.
With Syncxo, users always have access to the most up-to-date information on their PC or mobile and the information remains identical on all systems.
Also users can read edit and add their information via an Internet Browser.

Because users synchronise their Microsoft Outlook data with Syncxo, Syncxo doubles up as an automatic backup service. The advantage is that all data remains accessible even when a computer is turned off.

Security
XOffice has implemented, among others, several measures to secure data:

* Data Encryption and access: data that is sent is encrypted using Blowfish and Secure Hash Algorithm. Data is accessed using an SSL-connection;
* Redundancy: data is stored in a redundant server environment;
* Anti-spam and anti-virus are standard implemented;
* All XOffice servers have a firewall;
* On a regular basis, XOffice verifies the security of its servers using vulnerability scans.

Syncxo is available in three subscription models:

1. Syncxo Free, free agenda synchronisation;
2. Syncxo Basic, synchronisation of agenda and contacts for €3.- per month;
3. Syncxo Premium, mobile email and synchronisation of agenda, contacts and tasks for €11.90 per month.
