Ackley brings experience in channel management and business development to Collax. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.

With 8000 customers in Europe, Collax moved its headquarters to the U.S. and in August launched its full line of Linux-based server solutions here. Collax was founded in early 2005 and since has received series A funding from Intel Capital, Atlas Venture Partners and Wellington Partners.

"Building on the momentum of our U.S. product launch, we seek channel partner relationships that will propel Collax and our partners to the same strong results we've achieved in Europe," said Paula Hunter, U.S. VP of Marketing for Collax. "Recent surveys indicate tremendous interest in open source software by the six million small- and medium-size businesses in the U.S."
