The Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce’s Hispanic Business Council (HBC) is holding its inaugural networking event, Connexión, on Oct. 26, from 5 – 8 p.m., at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Plaza Pavilion.

In this first major gathering of Hispanic business owners and the greater Indianapolis business community, the night will be full of connection opportunities. Attendees will connect over food and drink while playing games of dominos.

“Dominos is a popular game among the Hispanic community and offers a new way for business professionals to come to the table and make connections in a unique environment,” said Charlie Garcia, council chair and president and founder of G. M. Construction.

Tickets are $15 (including food and drinks) and can be purchased online at events.indychamber.com or at the door.

Sponsors of the event include the following:
• Clave/Key Piece level: Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Indy Racing League
• Doble Nueve/Double Nine level: Gonzalez, Saggio & Harlan, LLP; Fineline Printing; and 107.1 WEDJ Radio Latina
• Doble Seis/Double Six level: State Farm, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, National City Bank, Sosa Group, Party Time Rental and Markey’s

Connexión, the Indianapolis Chamber HBC’s signature event, will become an annual event.

The Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce and the Indianapolis Hispanic Chamber of Commerce merged in August of 2005, creating the Hispanic Business Council within the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce structure. The council’s mission mirrors the former Hispanic Chamber’s mission: to provide leadership for the successful creation, growth, development and retention of Hispanic businesses in the greater Indianapolis area.
