(Philadelphia, PA) A Moore college of Art and Design graduate has taken her career into her own hands. Texas Native and Philadelphia resident Lula Jones has started Graphic Design venture theLULAdesigns. Specializing in Graphic Design needs for small businesses and not-for-profit organizations, her goal is to create high quality design at affordable rates. “Professional design should not be exclusive to large pocketbooks,” says Lula, “theLULAdesigns believes in building a stronger community through networking resources giving the little guys a leg-up in a fiercely competitive world.” Packages start at $325 and include what small businesses need most in the way of marketing materials.

Lula was raised in a military family based in Texas for most of her life. She moved to Philadelphia eight years ago and took a position as the Sales and Merchandising Manager for Borders Bookstore in center city. After paying her way through college she decided that she would use her BFA Graphic Design and her Merchandising experience to create a business geared towards getting people off the ground. Her history of “pulling herself up by her bootstraps” is exactly why she is a natural talent at helping people to start their business the right way.
