Desert Speed School Names Athletic Performance Director
Murray Hicks To Oversee Training

TUCSON, A.Z. – Murray Hicks has been named athletic performance director of Desert Speed School, an organization focused on training athletes of all ages and abilities to improve their athletic performance. In this position, Hicks will oversee all training programs and ensure that athletes are focused on improving speed, strength, flexibility, conditioning and explosive power. A certified personal trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, he earned a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Arizona and a Masters in Education from Northern Arizona University. He has over 20 years of experience as a physical education teacher and a basketball, baseball and football coach for the Flowing Wells Public Schools in Tucson and the Nodesha School District in Nodesha, Kansas.
