The workshop covers the craft and business of writing. After the workshop from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Quinn will autograph her latest book. "We are fortunate to bring one of the biggest stars in romance today to the Triangle for a day-long session on the art of writing dialogue and the ins-and-outs of the business of writing."

About Julia Quinn
In 1995 Julia Quinn published her first book, SPLENDID, and it’s been full steam ahead ever since. She built her career the old-fashioned way, by writing terrific novels and adding readers with each successive book until she burst onto the bestseller lists with her seventh novel, HOW TO MARRY A MARQUIS. Since then, her sales growth has been nothing short of tremendous. THE DUKE AND I, which was released as a midlist title, hit the Publishers Weekly bestseller list, the New York Times Extended bestseller list, and the top 50 of the USA Today list. THE VISCOUNT WHO LOVED ME continued this trend, and in July 2001, Julia achieved every writer’s dream when AN OFFER FROM A GENTLEMAN appeared on the New York Times short list. Since then, every Julia Quinn title has earned a place on the list, most recently ON THE WAY TO THE WEDDING, the final novel in her celebrated Bridgerton series. Julia’s achievements are not, however, restricted to the bestseller lists. She has finaled six times in the RITA and twice has been voted onto RWA’s Top Ten Favorite Books of the Year list. Her novels have been translated into twelve languages and are regularly chosen for the Rhapsody and Doubleday book clubs. She has been interviewed on both public radio and television, and in 2003 she was the subject of a full-page profile in TIME Magazine. Julia loves to dispel the myth that smart women don't read (or write) romance, and in 2001 she did so in grand style, competing on the game show The Weakest Link and walking away with the $79,000 jackpot. She displayed a decided lack of knowledge about baseball, country music, and plush toys, but she is proud to say that she aced all things British and literary, answered all of her history and geography questions correctly, and knew that there was a Da Vinci long before there was a code.
