Angel Tree Christmas, Spreading Holiday Cheer to Children of Prisoners

October 28, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Lifestyle News
Christ's Church of the Valley is partnering with Angel Tree once again to bring Christmas gifts to prisoners’ children in their parents’ name and to share encouraging news for a brighter future. Angel Tree Christmas gives local churches an opportunity to share God’s love by helping to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the families of prisoners.

Angel Tree Christmas works by connecting parents in prison with their children through the delivery of Christmas gifts. In most cases, local church volunteers purchase and deliver gifts to children in the name of their prisoner-parent. This is an easy, simple way to implement the real holiday spirit. It’s also a great activity for families to work on together.

Here’s how you can get involved. During the weekend services of November 11 & 12. Angel Trees will be set up in our Worship Center for individuals to pick an angel of their choice. By selecting an angel, you are committing to purchasing a gift and delivering it back to CCV no later than November 26, 2006.

Christ's Church of the Valley is located at 7007 W Happy Valley Rd in Peoria, AZ. Contact us if you have any questions at 623.376.2444 or www.ccvonline.com. Regular weekend worship times are 4:30 and 6:15 pm every Saturday and 9:30 and 11:15 am every Sunday.
