The Tokyo Career Fair 2006 is a unique mix of a community event and job event offering tangible value to both bilingual candidates and Tokyo's top employers. For more information and to register, visit http:// www. tokyocareerfair.com.

Gary Bremermann’s discussion will address specific issues in how bilingual candidates can effectively use recruiters to change companies and careers. Through his work in recruitment in Japan he has observed that many candidates are unfamiliar with working with recruiters and that there is a fundamental disconnect in expectations between recruiters and candidates. By helping candidates better understand how recruiters work he hopes to make the process work for both sides.

Gary says “Western-style recruitment in Japan is still in the “frontier days” and widely misunderstood. I want to help bridge the gap in understanding to enable companies to identify, qualify and hire the right people while empowering candidates to successfully manage and build their careers.”

Gary Bremermann is a Tokyo-based recruiter at Robert Leonard Consulting Ltd. specializing in mid- to senior level bilingual advertising and marketing professionals. Gary is also a contributing author of the new book, Get A Job! Your Guide to Making Successful Career Moves, by David B. Wright.
