Tempe, AZ — Lamson College is training students for an exciting Paralegal career that gives a student the flexibility to work at various levels of a legal team. A Paralegal is a trained professional who assists attorneys in a law firm, corporate office, public agency or other business, dealing with legal matters. At Lamson College, the Paralegal program prepares graduates for a successful career as an entry-level legal assistant of an attorney able to perform non-clerical, substantive projects.

Paralegals work under the supervision of an attorney, either as employees or as independent contractors. Students of Lamson College are trained in many areas of law including practical techniques, legal research, legal writing, document management and the computerized production of forms, utilized throughout the legal system.

The paralegal coursework at Lamson College includes focused curriculum on specific legal skills, computer proficiency as well as an excellent, broad general education. The program helps prepare graduates to pass the Certified Legal Assistant examination. CLA certification is an independent program that students may elect to pursue and is provided by the National Association of Legal Assistants.
