Perth, Western Australia. The Australian digital music label, Hidden Shoal Recordings, today announced the signing of Italian Cinephile Post Rockers Dilatazione for the digital release of their first album, “Too Emotional for Maths”.

Suspended somewhere between the intricate rhythmic instrumental work of 90’s Chicago Post Rock bands and inspired by the iconoclastic attitude of the french “Nouvelle Vague”, Dilatazione weave their own unique sound. Their soon to be released first album, “Too Emotional for Maths”, is a rhythmically dense and intricately melodic piece of cinematic rock.

“Too Emotional for Maths” was recorded and mixed in September 2005 at Alpha Dept Studio in Bologna by Amaury Cambuzat (Ulan Bator/ Faust) and Francesco Donadello (Giardini di Miro’).

Over the last two years Dilatazione have gathered a large European fan base and a trail of glowing reviews for their live performances playing at such European and international festivals as Sete sois sete luas, No Silenz Fest, Cinema Blast, Rockcalvi.

In a cross hemisphere collaboration, Hidden Shoal Recordings will partner with Italian label, Slowmotionpinguino to see “Too Emotional for Maths” released on cd in Europe and digitally across the world.

“Too Emotional for Maths” will be available as a digital pre-release on the 11th of November in the HSR Store to co-incide with the European cd release. The album will be officially released in December and available in Itunes, eMusic and Sony Connect stores globally.
