Julie Lowery Participates In National Leadership Conference
For Nurse Anesthetists

RALEIGH, N.C. – The North Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetists (NCANA) has announced that Julie Lowery, president of NCANA, will attend the 2006 American Association of Nurse Anesthetists’ (AANA) Fall Assembly of States in Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday, Nov. 10. The three-day event will include a variety of workshops focusing on leadership, public relations and government relations, as well as the organization’s president report presented by Terry C. Wicks. The conference will also provide an open forum for regional board directors to discuss issues relating the profession of nurse anesthesia.

“I’m very excited to attend this year’s annual Fall Assembly of States,” said Lowery. “This leadership conference is highly beneficial to nurse anesthetists in that it allows our professionals a highly effective platform to exchange new ideas and continue to improve upon the goals of our nationwide organization.”
