San Diego Meetup Just for Great Danes and their Owners
(
PRLEAP.COM) Beginning November 18th , Great Dane owners can meet fellow breed enthusiasts to chat about their dogs or just to enjoy a day out with their four legged companion. The idea for a Great Dane event came to Meagan Karnes, President of Fur-Crazy Pet Care, a local dog walking and pet care company, when she started meeting Great Dane owners at a local dog park. She soon realized there weren’t any local events that allowed these gentle giant owners to come together to chat about something they all have in common…their dogs! “I visited a dane meetup in Huntington Beach with a friend and we had a great time! I believe this will be a welcomed addition to the San Diego area and will help encourage the formation of a strong community within the community,” says Karnes.
There is not set format to the event. Participants will meet at a local off leash dog park for some dog and owner socialization and will then make their way to a local, dog friendly café for lunch. This will the first Great Dane Meetup to take place in San Diego.
Meagan Karnes is a pet owner and dog enthusiast. For four years, she has run a local pet care and dog training service and she prides herself on her involvement in the community. “San Diego is a great place for dog owners,” says Karnes, “what better way to meet people that have similar interests?”. In addition to pet care and training, Fur-Crazy Pet Care also participates heavily in dog rescue, using events like these to promote their adoptable dogs. They also host an online forum for pet lovers to meet and discuss pet topics, and they coordinate several pet friendly events around the San Diego area. Visitors to their website will instantly find a wealth of information, pet care products and services, along with a great community of pet owners.
