NCDOT To Shift Traffic on Northbound U.S. 1/64 In Cary

RALEIGH—The N.C. Department of Transportation has announced that it will shift northbound traffic on U.S. 1/64 in Cary, beginning on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m., weather permitting. Traffic from Tryon Road to I-40 will be shifted to the permanent inside northbound lanes to complete work on the outside lanes.

Traffic will remain in this pattern until all of the final northbound lanes are opened.

The NCDOT reminds motorists to stay alert, obey the posted speed limit, be aware of construction workers and watch signs for construction information. The fine for speeding in the work zone is $250 and violators may receive three driver license points.
