The Dead Rebels Ignite the Desert for Pioneer Days

Los Angeles, CA—- Alternative southern rockers, The Dead Rebels, gave a stellar performance at the Pioneer Days Festival in Twentynine Palms, CA held outdoors at Luckie Park. Steady radio airplay on KX 96FM and KQ 92FM, Time Warner commercials, PSA’s, news articles, and interviews are only a few reasons why this show was so highly anticipated. The Rebels lived up to expectations with an ignited performance of songs from their self-titled debut release on the indie label Quarter2three, a division of Cherokee Studios Music Group.

The Dead Rebels are notorious for delivering a three-guitar attack, loud, driving drums and a sound that truly resonates through the ears, and in 2005 Music Connection Magazine named the band one of the top unsigned bands of the year. The Rebels lived up to their reputation by rocking the crowd at Pioneer Days for two straight hours that finished with an encore of “Fortunate Son”, a classic by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

“I loved the band as well as the show. I think they had an incredible energy to them, and that’s what makes a band work!” says Top 40 DJ Anwaar of KQ 92FM. “After the first song I said, ‘I’m not leaving till the end!’”

The Dead Rebels’ performance at the 70th annual Pioneer Days Festival was made possible by their sponsors: Joshua Desert Retreats, Leatherman Tools, Trader Joe’s, Fat Tire Beer, and Copshoes.com. The band stayed after the show to sign CD’s, pose for photographs, as well as present the Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Christina Dooley, with their event banner, which will go on display permanently at the Twentynine Palms Chamber of Commerce.
