Poker Site Open to US – Sites Not Backing Out

November 07, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
The poker site open to the US which seems to be getting the most attention lately is PokerStars.com and is now featured as the #1 US accepted poker site at www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php which tracks the US accepted / closed sites.

Last night PokerRoom.com and Hollywood Poker officially stopped all real money U.S. poker bets. This was not a shock as the changes were expected for over two weeks now.

These updates were made to the US poker updates page this morning. The next scheduled poker site to close down to the US will be Paradise Poker on November 13th. CompatiblePoker’s US poker news page will continue to track these updates on an hourly basis.

ePassporte was also added to the US accepted deposit and is expected to pick up much of the slack when Neteller closes to US gamblers. With the last few changes made to the list of deposit methods for online poker this should top off all the major deposit methods and their stance for online poker players in the US.

PokerStars.com has officially taken over the dominant position of the largest poker room on the internet. Because of this they have climbed to the #1 ranking at the US allowed poker room list. Players expect Pokerstars to remain on top for quite some time.

Due to large amounts of emails regarding online poker in the US a FAQ section was also added to the page. Currently there are 4 questions constantly being repeated which is why this section was born and can be read at www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php
