About Vanity Cosmetics:
Christine Turner has a definite eye for beauty. The make-up artist veteran spent the past ten years in the maquillage industry, training with a top artist before finally opening up her own hip, yet relaxed Vanity Cosmetics salon in the heart of Sherman Oaks.
The Vanity Cosmetics motto is “the simplicity of beauty”, meaning beauty should be always be natural and draw inspiration from our surroundings. Artists at this intimate salon – chosen by Taylor for their respect to quality detail – cater to specific beauty needs and preferences of every client, infusing eastern philosophy with western technology. The ying and yang effect of combining the east and west lends the salon its comfortable, but effective atmosphere. The shop, featured on E! News in fall 2005, boasts make-up stations with black and white leather chairs, concrete and white wood counters, bamboo table mats, and stainless steel lighting.
With most salons using the waxing technique to shape brows, Vanity Cosmetics believes in the tweeze-only method, allowing for precise shaping, artist control, and more importantly, less pain around the delicate eye area. An eponymous make-up line is carried in house, along with other high-end items, such as Yonka beauty products, the exclusive Davines Italian hair line, popular two-five cases, Body Bling by Scott Barnes, as well as fabulous jewelry collections to add just the right touch. With an esthetician on hand, highly-qualified façade artists ready to glam your face and coif your hair, and beauty products galore, no one in this image driven city needs to stop at four different salons for the same desired effect.
You’ll leave Vanity Cosmetics feeling pretty, oh so pretty.
