MV Transportation, Inc. Ranked 8th Largest Private Company in East Bay

Fairfield, CA — Leading paratransit and public transportation contracting firm MV Transportation, Inc. has been named the eighth largest private company in the East Bay by the East Bay Business Times. The newspaper ranks private companies with the highest revenue in Alameda, Contra Costa and Solano counties.

"We're proud that the East Bay Business Times has recognized MV's tremendous growth and success in its annual list of the Largest Private Companies," said MV CEO Jon Monson. "Over the past 7 years our growth has continued to accelerate and we will continue to build on this momentum in 2007."

The East Bay Business Times' list of 2005's Largest Private Companies ranks East Bay-based private companies by company-wide revenue growth for 2005.

Founded in 1975 by husband-and-wife team Alex and Feysan Lodde, the Fairfield, California-based company is a private firm specializing in public transportation contracting. The Lodde's began MV with a single van in San Francisco, and the company now operates more than 5,000 vehicles in 26 states and the District of Columbia. MV currently employs more than 9,000 transit professionals.

In June 2006, MV was named the 11th largest African-American-owned industrial/service company in the United States by Black Enterprise Magazine.
