Galleria Pangea is a new online partnership dedicated to providing Chinese craftsmen with a unique outlet for their works of art - pieces only rarely seen by those accustomed to the presentation of Chinese culture so typical in the West. These works of art include intricate batik prints and hand-carved masks from Nuo ritual, and will be presented with and appropriate deference to their cultural history and creators.

" We deal directly with the artists who make each piece. There is no middleman or distributor used, and we ensure that each artisan can trade his artwork at a reasonable price for both the buyer and the seller," says Galleria Pangea President and Co-Founder Jiayang Yuan. "Each of our products has a unique cultural significance and story that we are happy to share with you as you explore with us the rich legacy of artisan craftsmanship bestowed upon us by our collective heritage. Our goal is to promote the culture and the artists." Galleria Pangea's current inventory includes over 400 items and covers a range of Chinese cultures, ethnic groups, and geographic regions. The vast majority of its products cannot be found in a typical Chinatown shop or US storefront, and often require significant explanation to put their history and value in proper context.

Galleria Pangea represents a partnership between Chinese and American investors, who have known each other since university and are united in their deep respect for the heritage of the products they procure. While a for-profit corporation, the company values the relationships it has developed with its craftsmen contributors and works closely to ensure that they are fairly compensated for their efforts.
