The USA International Fashion Shows is the USA Fashion Week of high fashion. The series of runway fashion shows features both national and international designers of couture and finely tailored garments showcasing in the USA. The collections are presented in beautiful settings in New York City along with lavish accessories, dramatic makeup and trend-setting hairstyles before an audience of VIPs, the international press and upscale fashion and boutique buyers.
The event had its successful debut in February 2003 in New York City before an audience of international press and fashion buyers with the participation of talented designers from Africa, Latin America and the USA.
"Haute Couture, Alta Moda or High Fashion — whichever term you prefer — has always intrigued me," notes Andres Aquino, the show founder and producer. "Haute couture is fashion at its best, because it represents a fusion of fine art, skilled hand tailoring and creativity making it a statement of a fashion designer's artistic expression through individual garments without the limitation of mass production concerns.'

Designer Atta Kofi will unveil his "Celebrity Suits" collection at the USA International Fashion Shows. A native of Ghana, Mr. Kofi studied fashion design in Italy and trained in London where he developed his abundant fashion talent. Dedicated to the City of New York, this stunningly modern and avant-garde collection is rendered in the finest fabrics with silk patchwork. The men's line is flamboyant and trendy with lapels ranging from single flame to double flame to half cone. The women's designs are cutting edge, sleek and bordered with silk.

In its mission to present high fashion designers from around the world, this season the USA International Fashion Shows will include Helen Yarmak, a symbol of the emerging fashion force in Russia. Ms. Yarmak creates everything from exquisite jewelry to luxurious furniture as well as stunning fashions. Many major Hollywood stars wear her designs and influential power brokers and world leaders from princes to presidents admire her. With numerous awards to her credit and a PhD in mathematics, this fashion dynamo is rapidly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the industry. Ms. Yarmak has offices in Moscow and on New York's Fifth Avenue.

Couture designer Mayssan Shuayb, a native of Lebanon and now a resident of Florida, confesses: "My dream has come true. I have my own fashion company and I will be in my first major fashion show, the USA International Fashion Show, in September of 2003." Ms. Shuayb will be presenting a highly anticipated line of superbly tailored gowns and dresses.

Cleveland, Ohio-based designer Patricia Mills derives inspiration for her beautiful gowns from the glamorous era of early Hollywood, from 1920 to1950, and such silver screen legends as Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. Ms. Mills is an advocate of the work to find a cure for sarcoidosis, a devastating disease that affects her and some members of her family. Ms. Mills was recently profiled in the Euclid Sun Journal's feature "Facing a Challenge with Style. Designer refuses to let disease dampen her passion for fashion."

'Being part of this fashion event has been great, " says Lourdes A. Libman who presented her collection during the February 2003 round of shows and is coming back in September. "Through the USA International Fashion Shows my collection and name have been covered in magazines in London, Bangkok, Singapore and in a number of other cities around the world'. Miss Universe contestants Miss Nicaragua and Miss Canada during the pageant held in Panama recently wore Ms. Libman's beautiful gowns. She is also a favorite designer of the First Lady of the Dominican Republic and designs for performing artists and for those celebrities keeping their eye on the red carpet.

Fashion buyers are already lining up to attend these exciting runway shows, including those from TV shopping networks as well as boutiques and stores from as far away as Canada and Peru, Europe and Asia. Members of the press from Italy, Germany, Russia and South America are also due to attend. The previous event called the attention of fashion, jewelry, and makeup magazines from North America to South America, Thailand, Singapore, and The Netherlands among others.

"With the USA International Fashion shows we are experiencing a renaissance in the art of couture in New York City', says producer Andres Aquino.

The show is by invitation only and is limited to the press, fashion buyers and selected VIP's.
