Movie Lowers DVD Price by $986

WebcamMurder.com, the first independent film to be marketed as both a movie and a sleep aid, has lowered the price of its DVDs.

“Amazon.com is still selling WebcamMurder.com for $995.95 as I release this information,” announced Film Sleepy LLC president and CEO Sondra Lowell. “However, the price change is already in operation for sales from the WebcamMurder.com website and Amazon will soon follow suit.”

Film Sleepy representatives did not directly address questions concerning rumors that the 85 minute DVD about people who live their uneventful lives on Internet webcams was not selling at the $995.95 initial price.

“We are very pleased with the early sales,” said Sondra, without naming numbers. “However, at this time of year shoppers expect discounts, even with upscale items such as WebcamMurder.com. They are not accustomed to movies made for the purpose of putting the audience to sleep, and we want as many movie fans to experience the value of this new genre as possible.”

WebcamMurder.com’s current ranking on the Amazon.com DVD sales list is “none,” which the Film Sleepy founder said was obviously a typo but if not was a clear sign that sales will increase in the next quarter: “The dollar is slipping and Walmart sales have fallen for the first time in a decade. Our forecasts show that WebcamMurder.com’s ranking on Amazon will not go down.”

Even critics of the Film Sleepy genre have been known to agree with that analysis. Admitted one naysayer, “Views of WebcamMurder.com videos on UncutVideo.AOL.com have been increasing, if only because they keep making more of them. It’s only a matter of time till someone actually purchases the DVD.”
