Mantua, Ohio, Business leaders, managers, and sales associates enhance leadership skills using one of life’s natural leaders, the horse. M-A-P, LLC announces its newest service EquiCoaching.

EquiCoaching uses horses as co-facilitators coaching sessions to create a safe setting for exploration on an individualized basis. Horses have an acute awareness of their own environment and those near them. Interacting with the horses provides the participant with an opportunity to learn how he or she affects others, thereby furthering the individual’s professional and personal growth. The role of the coach is to ask questions, listen, observe, identify behavior patterns, and support the participant’s learning.

As one entrepreneur spent time approaching horses in their environment, he quickly noticed the fear rising inside him as he walked toward the horses. When he acknowledged this fear to the horses, he was able to walk up, touch them, and be with them. He pondered his approach to potential new clients and recognized the same fear rising when he entered into those situations. With this new awareness, he began identifying his fear, breathing through it, and calming himself before meeting with a potential client. This shift resulted in more new clients and a 53% increase in business.

Sue Thomas, President of M-A-P, LLC says, “After working with the horses, clients learn what emotions, perceptions, or behaviors are holding them back from accomplishing more, building stronger relationship, growing their business, or interacting more positively with loved ones.”

Results experienced by participants in EquiCoaching include development of a deeper self-awareness and understanding other peoples’ perceptions and the discovery of behaviors that negatively impact customers, employees, and family. Participants find themselves communicating more clearly, earning trust and respect from others more quickly, increased ability to clarify future direction and goals; and uncovering what they love to do.

After working with horses, one client’s response was: "I realized when I was with the horse and kept the rope tight that I act the same way with people. The workshop allowed me to step out of my super safe and conservative box to experience something I really needed in order to grow."

EquiCoaching is offered as individual or packaged sessions. For more information contact Sue Thomas at M-A-P, LLC, 330.274.2693 or visit www.mapotential.com.
