CAI Opens NC Healthcare and Benefits Survey to Companies Statewide

(PRLEAP.COM) Raleigh, NC—December 6, 2006—CAI, in partnership with Hill, Chesson and Woody, is sponsoring the annual NC Healthcare and Benefits Survey. The survey, in its second year, is designed to be a tool for employers throughout the state to gather information about current market trends in healthcare and benefit design and costs. Survey participation is open to North Carolina companies across the state.

The survey shows trends and competitive practices within the market including how employers and human resource professionals manage costs, from absorbing costs to sharing them with employees, to redesigning plans.

Last year, approximately 450 organizations participated from across the state. In 2005-2006, survey results showed the average health care premium reported for single coverage was $321.76 per month, with employers contributing on average 85.6 of the total premium. The average premium reported for family coverage was $910.53 per month.

All survey participants are provided with a complimentary copy of the results. Results are also available for purchase for non-participants.

The survey is available online at www.capital.org/healthsurvey and closes January 12, 2007.
