SHAWNEE, KANSAS — Perceptive Software, Inc., announced that Maurices selected ImageNow® to outfit the fashion retailer's human resources department with document imaging, document management and workflow solutions. Established in 1931, Maurices is wholly owned by dressbarn Incorporated (NASDAQ: DRBN) and operates more than 470 stores in the United States.

With its nationwide staff growing to more than 4,000, Maurices' HR department was inundated with paperwork. As the influx of documentation intensified, slow manual filing, duplication and document retrieval hampered business processes. Knowing a document imaging solution could help them sidestep the paper obstacle, the company evaluated several products.

One of the key selling points of ImageNow is the product's ability to quickly integrate with Maurices' Lawson suite and all other applications, without programming. Rapid integration enables Maurices to realize an immediate return on investment and facilitates continuous business processes.

"We found ImageNow to be a leader in the industry and the one that best met our business objectives," said Robin Murphy, HR systems administrator. "It's easy to use, easy to implement and fell within our budget guidelines."

Maurices uses ImageNow to scan and store all documentation electronically in a secure, central repository. Before implementation, answering an inquiry from a store or a customer often involved a callback, as employees searched through thousands of paper records. With ImageNow, instant, single-click data access facilitates more responsive customer service and simplifies personnel management.

ImageNow users can send duplicates of any document via e-mail and fax, eliminating the need for manual copying. Simultaneous file viewing by an unlimited number of users simplifies reviews and other procedures.

"Users can access information right when they're talking to a store manager or other requestor. We don't have to call them back anymore," said Murphy. "With ImageNow, we have the information at our fingertips."

The maintenance of a complex paper filing system reduced productivity at Maurices as employees spent countless hours individually categorizing and updating personnel files. Now staff quickly stores, accesses and modifies employee transfers, new team members' records and all other documentation using intuitive ImageNow features. ImageNow technology also enables staff to annotate electronic and scanned images, simplifying updates to existing files.

"Before implementation we spent a lot of time maintaining paper files," said Murphy. "With ImageNow, employees can concentrate on important tasks, and we are able to update our records right away."
