poptile.com launches interactive digital artwork site
(
PRLEAP.COM) The site offers a number of themed photo mosaics, each made up of hundreds of "tiles", and visitors are invited to choose an empty tile and upload their own image, thereby contributing to the overall mosaic design.
"People just love interactive websites," says Andrew Stephens, the creator of poptile.com. "And this site has the added wow-factor of watching the designs grow and evolve as more visitors contribute to the mosaics. It will be very exciting to see how the final designs turn out!"
Finished designs can be freely viewed and downloaded by anyone, although visitors who contributed will be especially keen to print off the finished article. "Imagine having a
completely unique, one of a kind work of art hanging on your wall, and knowing that you contributed to it," says Andrew. "You can point to that small square and say ‘that’s me’!"
Although the site is still in its infancy and uploads are yet to start flooding in, Andrew plans to sell limited edition giant-sized posters of the finished mosaics, and is already in talks with a number of online poster printing services.
Andrew Stephens is poptile.com’s creator and webmaster. Andrew is an IT consultant currently working for local government, but has an active interest in web development outside of work - of which poptile.com is his first venture. Andrew lives in Chester, UK with his wife and 1 year old daughter Alice.
