BEVERLY HILLS, CA and BOULDER, CO, DECEMBER, 2006… Vive!, nationally-recognized as one of the most effective family-focused transition programs in the United States, has begun providing assistance to Los Angeles area families from its new Southern California office in Beverly Hills. Vive! (www.vivenow.com) is a unique, action-oriented program for at-risk teens and troubled young people returning from residential treatment programs as well as a preventative measure before out-of-home placement. The company’s team of Southern California healing professionals works with troubled families in their home environment to successfully transition the young people back into their real world environment. In addition, it helps families manage life’s crisis situations and transitions by offering 24/7 support that promotes sustainable, positive outcomes.

Located at 9150 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 104, Vive’s Beverly Hills office is led by Kathy Mackinnon, MEd. She leads the Vive! team of therapeutic professionals who have expertise in family and adolescent mentoring and coaching. Recognized for her work as personal life coach with a Masters in Education, Mackinnon and her team help teens and their families deal with and plan for life’s transitions.

Working with Southern California educational consultants, psychologists, psychiatrists and public/private school systems, Vive! has found immediate acceptance of its unique approach and philosophy among area families. The mission of Vive! is to promote the health and wellness of families while transitioning underachieving youth into higher functioning adults.

"We estimate that there are over 500,000 teens that may be classified as “at-risk” or underachieving across the United States,” shared Terry Tierney, CEO. “In the past year, we have had a number of Southern California families come to Colorado to be part of our program, so it made sense to bring the practice closer to them. With our practitioner team located in Beverly Hills, we are ready to collaborate with the many unique and qualified referral sources that serve the needs of so many California families in crisis.”

Founded in 2000 in Boulder, Colorado, Vive! has worked with hundreds of families in Colorado, Northern California and across the U.S. who seek guidance in helping their children deal with the myriad of issues facing young people today. While Vive! may be the first place families begin the healing process, it has found a niche in transitioning children and young adults from wilderness programs and therapeutic boarding schools back into their home community environments or even college.
