Over 25,000 people attended the Esurance Icer Air, a one-of-a-kind festival-type event, featuring some of the best ski/snowboard and music talents from around the world.

Esurance, the latest and hugely successful auto insurance company on the scene, sponsored the event and also gave away 10,000 FREE DVDs produced by Musync (www.musync.com), a San Francisco online music licensing company.

The DVD was perfect for the snowy-themed event and the upcoming holiday season. “This was the best giveaway ever”, said one fan. “I can pop the DVD into my home entertainment system, and see a burning fireplace on my TV and listen to some really cool tracks of downtempo music. Perfect for the holidays. Can’t wait to try it!”

Esurance had it playing in their booth, The Chill Lounge, at the field level, where people could sit, relax by the (video) fireplace, on their 52” wide-screen and also take a turn at the oxygen bar. Outside, the excitement kept hitting hard and long at this unique all day event at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants.

The focus of the event was the 100’ high ski and snowboard jump covered with 200 tons of real snow that descended from the scoreboard and extended over 350’ in length, right down to the center of the baseball diamond.

Some of the best international ski and snowboard talent was there – Travis Rice and Andreus Wiig and Danny Kass. Tony Hawk and Jonny Moseley were two of the host/MCs, plus headliner bands, Jurassic 5 and Ladytron.

Esurance is known for their animated TV spots featuring Erin Esurance. Esurance knows how to appeal to their 18 – 35 year old audience with events like Icer Air, which is why they came up with the DVD idea.

Musync is no stranger to Esurance. Musync has provided music supervision and licensing for 15 of their national TV spots, and they also recently went live with hip new music for their call center telephone-on-hold. How cool is it to be able to listen to music on hold that sounds 200% better than what you hear when you call an airline or credit card company. “I don’t mind being on hold when I get to listen to great music”, said one caller. “Why don’t more companies do this?”

Musync has also licensed tracks for Microsoft (XBOX), Google, Adidas, Honda Element, Sony Playstation and more.

What’s next for Musync? Helping do-it-yourself multimedia producers find great music quickly and easily at www.musync.com (FREE and easy registration). You can also sign-up for FREE Podcasts of new artists.

Musync vows to be the largest online music licensing company in the world by year end. How? “We’re constantly looking for new independent musicians who are competent, reliable and creating great music”, said Seb Jarakian, music genius at Musync. “We get hundreds of CDs at a time, and filter out the best; so our clients can listen to samples online, or just ask and we’ll help them narrow down to the best they can find.” “And it’s fun because we love what we do – helping artists make money from their craft and providing better music for productions and venues everywhere. We’re kind of saving the world from bad music!”
