PUYALLUP, Wash., December 12, 2006- The New Year is quickly approaching, and the Fit America Contest has upped the ante. The latest prize additions include six complete home gyms, two pieces of top-quality cardio equipment, two full dumbbell sets with stands, 30 one-year gym memberships, and a power juicer. The complete prize listing can be seen at www.fitamericacontest.com.

“These prizes will be a wonderful motivation for Fit America contestants. The really great thing is that winners can use their prizes to keep the weight off,” said Annette Hudson, CPT, founder of MyFitnessTrainer.com and the Fit America Contest.

Additionally, every entrant will receive a free three-month membership to MyFitnessTrainer.com (www.myfitnesstrainer.com) during the contest (January 1, 2007 through April 1, 2007). The Web site works as an online personal trainer, instructing members how to eat better, exercise regularly and maintain healthy lifestyles based on their own personal goals, metabolism, physical abilities and other unique factors.

The Fit America Contest is free to everyone, and everyone has a chance to win. “Winners are chosen subjectively. That means that even if you only have five pounds to lose, you might still win a prize. If your weight loss is slowed by a health problem, you could still be a winner,” Hudson stated. “We encourage contestants to just tell their stories in the short essay with their final contest results.”
