Calabasas, CA – Fatal1ty Brand Partners congratulates Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel for his 2nd place finish at the World Series of Video Games (WSVG), Quake 4 Finals Championship held this past weekend in New York City.

Johan “Toxic” Quick defeated Fatal1ty early in the competition to put him in the lower bracket where he fought his way back into the finals by defeating in order, Alex "Ztrider" Ingarv, Anton "Cooller" Singov and Jason "Socrates" Sylka. This gallant effort set up the finals for a waiting Toxic to determine the WSVG Quake 4 Championship. Fatal1ty caught a confident Toxic by surprise and took the first map, Phrantic, 4-3 in a nail biting battle. On the next map Fatal1ty closed out the match with dominating play on Placebo to take the first match in straight maps 2-0, thus setting up the thrilling final match in front of an excited crowd. After losing to Toxic in the first map, Fatal1ty rebounded to take the second map before falling in the third. The appreciative crowd roared its approval for the exciting performance by both contestants. A great run by Fatal1ty and great victory for Toxic.
