New York/Stuttgart – Thieme Publishers is pleased to announce that in 2007 “Seminars in Reproductive Medicine” will increase its frequency from five to six issues per year. This follows closely on the heels of its expansion from four to five issues in 2006. The increase in 2007 is attributed to rapid developments in the field. The bi-monthly journal provides an informed perspective on male and female infertility, reproductive physiology, pharmacological hormonal manipulation, and state-of-the-art assisted reproductive technologies.

The current issue, devoted to stem cells in reproductive medicine, brings together the knowledge and the experience of highly influential professionals. According to Guest Editor Joseph Itskovitz-Eldor, M.D., D.Sc., Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Rambam Medical Center, Haifa, Israel, "There have been few areas in the history of science and medicine that have generated such overwhelming interest within both the scientific community and the general public as has research on stem cells."

“Seminars in Reproductive Medicine,” formerly known as “Seminars in Reproductive Endocrinology,” is a topic-driven peer-reviewed journal that provides in-depth coverage regarding important advances in human reproductive functions in addition to new and emerging technology. Each issue is centered around one high-interest topic that is thoroughly examined by internationally renowned experts. Scheduled topics for 2007 include ectopic pregnancy as well as physiology and pathology of implantation in human and non-human primates.
