WORD ON THE STREET SEARCHING FOR UNSIGNED TALENT

January 01, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Word On The Street (WOTS), the popular e-zine and message board announces its search for the next generation of rap, hip-hop and R&B stars. Unsigned acts looking for exposure should contact WOTS immediately for consideration.

WOTS is an entertainment e-zine covering everything from music to movies to current events. Yet, WOTS founder and chief editor, Shelia Chadwick’s true love is music. She is excited about expanding the e-zine’s music section to include reviews of up-and-coming rap, hip-hop and R&B artists. “Every great performer started off as raw, unsigned talent. With the right grooming and exposure, each act has the potential to be tomorrow’s leaders in the music industry. Word on the Street hopes to be an integral part of discovering that talent.”

For an unsigned act, exposure is essential. Getting the demo and the songs out to as many people as possible can help increase a musician’s fan base and their name recognition. What makes WOTS unique is the number of influential music industry professionals who subscribe to the e-zine. “We are quite fortunate to have the support of not only many established, big-name artist but we are also heavily supported by the labels.

Word On The Street is a trusted source for entertainment and ground - breaking news. Many of our Industry subscribers look forward to the musical recommendations that we make.”
Word On The Street is looking for unsigned rap, hip-hop and R&B acts. After listening to each demo, Shelia will decide which acts to profile on Word On The Street – on both the site and in the monthly e-zine.

Interested artists should send a CD demo, a photo and a brief bio to P.O. Box 361184, Indianapolis, IN 46236. Electronic submissions will not be accepted and physical packages will not be returned. Word On The Street will contact the artists directly if they are selected for review.

“We here at Word On The Street are excited about helping to expose artist and possibly creating an opportunity for long-term success within the industry”.
