Goozex Expands Video Game Trading Service into Canada

COLLEGE PARK, MD – Goozex, Inc. has expanded its game trading service into all Region 1 countries, which includes the United States, Canada and Bermuda. In particular, the expansion into Canada marks a major growth milestone for the online company that launched on July 10, 2006. Goozex is the only online game trading site to provide the option for its users to trade with whichever country they desire.

Canada will represent an important market for Goozex. According the NPD Group, a market research firm, Canadian Video and Computer game sales in 2005 were $561 million USD. The Canadian division of the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) estimates that 7 out of 10 Canadian households own some form of video game entertainment device such as PlayStations and PCs.

“We’ve wanted to expand into Canada since the day we launched,” says Jon Dugan, co-founder of Goozex and COO. Mr. Dugan went on to say, “Canada is an obvious growth milestone for Goozex and plays on our strength to expand geographically. We want to give the same benefit to the hardcore gamers in Canada as we give those in the U.S. High game prices, especially for the PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 are placing the same pressure on their consumers as they are on ours and we want to help get them the games they want in an extremely affordable way.”
