“Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology evaluates trade shows very seriously in terms of market potential and event effectiveness, so the fact that Middle East Electricity will feature more German companies than any other global energy event is clear proof of the event’s international credibility and proven business effectiveness” said Sarah Woodbridge, Group Director Exhibitions, IIR Middle East, organisers of the exhibition.

The German Pavilion at Middle East Electricity 2007 will include first time and repeat exhibitors. Participating for the fourth consecutive year, Siemens Automation and Drives invests more than 6% of its profits annually in innovation. Every year, 5,500 employees in research and development are granted around 981 patents - the result is the most modern product portfolio in the history of automation and drive engineering.

“We are participating at Middle East Electricity because it is one of a kind and the region's biggest exhibition related to the energy industry,” said Nandini Hingoranee of Siemens Automation & Drives Division. “Siemens is the world leader in electrical engineering, and our Automation and Drives Division has always been at the forefront of technological advancement, coming up with pioneering products and solutions to meet the rising demands of the power and energy industry. By exhibiting at Middle East Electricity, we will reinforce our position as solution providers for the electrical industry. Siemens is targeting a larger share of the Middle East market through state-of-the-art products and solutions, and we are focusing on enhancing our Middle East presence to bring it on par with our international market share.”

With over 100 years of development and experience, Lapp Insulator GmbH & Co. KG has a long and proud history of manufacturing insulators for installations worldwide, making them the world’s leading and most experienced manufacturer of high quality insulators, both from porcelain and their patented silicone rubber Rodurflex®. "We are participating at Middle East Electricity as we view it as the best show in the entire Middle East region to establish new contacts and to maintain business relationships, all within a very professional environment,” said Thomas Zembsch, Sales Manager International Projects, Lapp Insulator GmbH & Co. KG. “The Middle East, and the UAE in particular, are strategic markets for our composite insulators and the amount of projects being executed in this region is growing continuously. That’s why we have a presence at Middle East Electricity, as it enables us to serve and support our customers to the best of our abilities."

Since 1930, Adels-Contact has been a synonym for forward-looking industrial connecting engineering, and has evolved into a worldwide operating enterprise whose partners rank among the most important players in the field of electrical and luminaires industry. “We see Middle East Electricity as the ideal opportunity to promote our range of high-grade terminal blocks and connectors throughout the entire Middle East. Our experience at Middle East Electricity 2006 proved that it is the ideal location to make contacts in this rapidly growing market, and as a result we concluded a number of business deals,” said Juergen Baier, Head of International Customer Service, Adels-Contact.

A first time exhibitor at last year’s show, and a European leader in the manufacture of building entry and seal systems for cables and pipes, Hauff Technik, is exhibiting again at Middle East Electricity 2007 due to the success they enjoyed last year. “Middle East Electricity 2006 was fantastic for us - we made many interesting new international contacts, and a high number of them turned into concrete business negotiations,” said Dr. Michael Seibold, Managing Director of Hauff-Technik. “This was much more than we expected and far better than other shows - the results demonstrate the business power of Dubai and the Middle East, so we immediately decided to take part at the show again next year, because we meet the most important group of international business people there.”

Rated by exhibitors and visitors as one of the world’s most important events for the global energy sector, Middle East Electricity, which takes place at Dubai International Exhibition Centre from 11-14 February 2007, will feature leading regional and international companies, comprehensively covering the entire spectrum of the energy industry, with specific focus on the Gas, Power Generation, New & Renewable Energy, Lighting and Water sectors. “Due to rapidly increasing populations, the Middle East and North Africa have pressing and highly diverse energy requirements - with Governments increasingly looking for innovative solutions to their immediate needs, there is ever growing potential for companies involved in all of the various industry sectors,” concluded Woodbridge.
