Addison, TX / January 6, 2007 — The National Business Research Institute announced today a major addition to its staff, hiring Dr. Cynthia Reed, a professor of psychology and sociology at Fort Worth's Tarrant County College.

Reed will be assigned to the position of Organizational Psychologist, using her impressive background and experience to write articles for some of publishing's most well-known periodicals, including Fortune, Newsweek and BusinessWeek.

"We're very pleased and excited that we have a dynamic person like Dr. Reed with proven leadership, diverse interests and a strong background and passion for not only behavioral sciences, but research as well," said Dr. J.T. West, a Ph.D. and co-founder of NBRI. "Cynthia is a true professional, energetic and engaging, and ideally suited to help lead NBRI through the 21st century."

It will be the second time around for Reed at the Addison-based NBRI, which has more than 25 years of experience conducting customer and employee surveys for multi-million dollar companies. Reed, who holds a Ph.D. from Saint Louis University in Applied-Experimental Psychology, was a consultant for NBRI from 1996-98.

"I chose to return to NBRI because it is a company I believe in and I am excited about the work they're doing," said Reed, who has been published in several scientific journals. "I have always enjoyed survey research and I'm looking forward to returning to it. My background combines experience in academia and consulting that will add to the scientific and applied components of the company."

The company has flourished during the last decade, and Reed's hiring will help take NBRI to the next level. NBRI uses cutting-edge scientific and psychological research in its surveying methods, and has a clientele that includes some of the most respected Fortune 500 companies in the world. Reed is expected to use her vast and versatile abilities to eventually consult on survey content and results, and present them to those same Fortune 500 clients.

"I have no doubt our clients will be impressed with Dr. Reed's professionalism," said West. "We are fortunate to have found a psychologist with Cynthia's talents, intellectual breadth, and academic values."
