Soy based lubricant introduced to Rutherford county, uses US grown soybean oils.
(
PRLEAP.COM) Rutherford Co-op supplys bio-diesel to its customers and now stocks SoyGrease. It just makes sense to support US farmers who have invested in university research to develope this high performance, safe product using US grown soybean oils. Farmers understand much of the grease and lubricating oils used on trucks and farm equipment ends up in our environment. SoyGrease and the other soy based lubricants such as gear and hydraulic oils are non-toxic and degrade naturally, once in contact with soil bacteria, so there is reduced impact on plants, animals and on our water supply.
SoyGrease was developed in by the University of NOrthern Iowa Ag-based Industrial Lubricants (ABIL) Research Progam. "We now use a genetically engineered soybean oil that allows us to not only meet and exceed the performance of petroleum greases, but also match the price of petroleum product.
