Rainy Day Designs Set to Offer Roaring Fork Valley Non Profit a Competitive Advantage

Aspen, CO – January 12, 2007 – Non profit organizations are in the business to make a positive impact to the lives of those it helps, yet out of necessity, they are in the business of fundraising to give them the ability to help. The 2006 Carbondale Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year, Rainy Day Designs, is going to make this task a whole lot easier for one Roaring Fork Valley philanthropy, and is issuing a Call for Papers for its 2007 RDD Design Grant.

Applications and submission guidelines, which may be obtained at www.rainydaydesigns.org/designgrant_07.pdf or by emailing rdd@rainydaydesigns.org, are due back to Rainy Day Designs by 5 p.m. on Monday, January 29th and must be mailed to Rainy Day Designs, c/o RDD Design Grant 2007, 16 North Fourth Street, Carbondale, CO 81623.

The grant is open to any non profit in the Roaring Fork Valley area with an annual budget up to $750,000. The winning organization will be chosen on February 15th, 2007. The program will entitle the selected non profit group a year long commitment from Rainy Day Designs to collaborate on such items as professional development of a strategic marketing plan, design of marketing collateral and literature, advertising creative, and creation of brand standards and professional identity. The grant, which has assisted such groups as Mountain Valley Developmental Services and the Carbondale Clay Center, was established in 2002 to positively impact the quality of design and marketing for small, non profit institutions in the Roaring Fork Valley area, enabling them to more effectively reach out to current and potential donors and volunteers. “We understand the importance of quality, professional design and marketing for all organizations, but particularly for non profits which may otherwise not be able to afford this critical component as they seek partnerships,” Rainy Day Designs president Erin Rigney says.
