AXIOMTEK Releases an Anti-vibration Pentium® M-level Mobile DVR Platform – eBOX611

Taipei, Taiwan — AXIOMTEK, as one of leading Applied Computing Platform (ACP) providers, is pleased to release an anti-vibration box pc, the eBOX611, for mobile DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and telematics applications. The industrial grade eBOX611 integrates a high performance EPIC form factor SBC, the EP811, which supports both Intel® Pentium® M and Intel® Celeron® M PGA or BGA processors, and reserves a highly reliabile anti-vibration 2.5" HD drive.

DVR system plays a key role of security automation and provides video monitoring function, more information to control center for futher judgments thru network communication. Responding to the growing market demands, AXIOMTEK developed a classic digital video recorder platform. The DVR hardware system eBOX611 simply stores the digital stream directly to disk and offers PC-based reliable infrastructure, customized configuration, and meets industrial PC standards. The DVR function can support maxium up to 4 channel video-in at 30 fps or 2 channel at 30 fps (share a total frame rate of 120 fps). It is able to make out the license plate automatically and mange the parking lot without anybody. Moreover, user can easily develop application via SDK (Software Development Kit) and easy-to-upgrade without extra effort.

The eBOX611 can operate in wide range temperature environments from -15ºC to 60ºCelsius. With a patent of anti-vibration, anti-shock design, this embedded computer platform can sustain 1Grms (5-500Hz,X,Y,Z directions) vibration of HD and 3Grms vibration of CompactFlashTM for hours without impact. It is an ideal solution for harsh environments. In order to support different vehicle usage, this credible mobile DVR system built-in a wide range 12V (9~27Vdc-in) or 24V (18~56Vdc-in) DC power supply. The industrial grade DVR device could be bundled drivers with different embedded OS, such as Microsoft® Windows® XP, Windows® XP Embedded or WinCE 5.0.

With the above features, users could easily install the eBOX611 in most transportation applications, such as traffic control, parking lot, airport, school bus, police car, or truck, to provide a security, safety function and GPS/location information.
